Terms of Service

Agreement

By downloading, installing, accessing, subscribing to, testing, or using Termex, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Termex.

By accessing, browsing, or continuing to use the Termex website, you also accept the use of cookies, analytics, measurement, attribution, and similar tracking technologies as described in the Privacy Policy. These technologies are active by default from your first visit; no cookie consent banner is displayed. If you do not accept them, block or delete them using your browser controls or stop using the website.

If you use Termex on behalf of a company, employer, customer, public body, educational institution, or other organisation, you confirm that you have authority to bind that organisation or that you are personally responsible for your use.

If you use Termex under a separate written agreement signed by Magrathean, that written agreement controls to the extent of any conflict.

A non-HTTPS, staging, cached, test, development, or non-standard-port copy is not intended to be authoritative unless Magrathean expressly says otherwise. If you see a non-HTTPS copy, contact us before relying on it.

Licence

Subject to these Terms and any applicable App Store rules, Magrathean grants you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, non-sublicensable, revocable licence to install and use Termex on Apple-branded devices that you own or control, for lawful and authorised purposes.

Termex is licensed, not sold. You do not acquire ownership of Termex, its source code, object code, design, trade marks, icons, name, branding, website, documentation, screenshots, marketing material, or other Magrathean-owned materials.

All rights not expressly granted are reserved.

Ownership and intellectual property

Termex, the Termex name, the Termex app, Magrathean-owned code, product design, user interface, documentation, website text, product pages, icons, logos, release notes, support material, and related Magrathean materials are owned by Magrathean or licensed to Magrathean.

You must not copy, reproduce, modify, adapt, translate, create derivative works from, sell, resell, rent, lease, sublicence, distribute, publish, frame, scrape, or commercially exploit Termex or Magrathean materials except as expressly permitted by these Terms, a written agreement, open-source licence notices, platform rules, or mandatory law.

Third-party software, libraries, protocols, projects, trade marks, and open-source components remain the property of their respective owners and may be subject to separate licences. References to third-party names are descriptive and do not imply endorsement.

Apple App Store terms

Where you obtain Termex through the Apple App Store, your download, purchase, subscription, refund, cancellation, renewal, family-sharing, device-use, and account rights are also subject to Apple’s terms, including Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User Licence Agreement where applicable.

The following Apple-specific terms apply where Termex is distributed through the Apple App Store:

1. These Terms are between you and Magrathean, not Apple. 2. Apple is not responsible for Termex or its content. 3. Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for Termex. 4. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Apple has no warranty obligation for Termex. If Termex fails to conform to any applicable warranty, you may notify Apple, and Apple may refund the purchase price, if any, under Apple’s rules. Any other warranty claim is Magrathean’s responsibility to the extent it cannot lawfully be excluded. 5. Apple is not responsible for product claims, consumer protection claims, intellectual-property claims, or legal-compliance claims relating to Termex. 6. You must comply with applicable third-party terms when using Termex. 7. You represent that you are not located in a country subject to a UK, US, EU, UN, or other applicable embargo or sanctions restriction and that you are not listed on an applicable prohibited-party list. 8. Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these Terms and may enforce the Apple-specific provisions against you.

If Apple’s mandatory App Store terms give you rights that are more favourable than these Terms, Apple’s mandatory terms control to that extent.

Subscriptions, trials, renewal, and cancellation

Termex may be offered as a paid app, free app, trial, promotional entitlement, review build, enterprise build, or auto-renewable subscription. The App Store listing and in-app purchase screen show the current price, billing period, trial availability, tax treatment, renewal terms, and cancellation method.

If Termex is sold as an auto-renewable subscription through Apple:

• Apple processes the payment through your Apple ID.
• Apple, not Magrathean, manages payment-card details, tax handling, refund flows, renewal reminders, and cancellation controls.
• The subscription renews automatically unless cancelled in time under Apple’s rules.
• You can cancel renewal through your Apple account settings.
• Deleting the app does not necessarily cancel an active Apple subscription.
• Trial availability, trial length, eligibility, and renewal price are shown by Apple or in the app at purchase time.
• StoreKit entitlement checks may be required to unlock paid functionality.

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple unless Apple directs otherwise or mandatory law gives you a separate right against Magrathean.

If Magrathean later offers direct billing outside the App Store, the separate direct-billing terms presented at purchase will apply to that transaction.

Digital content and consumer rights

Termex is digital content and/or a digital service. If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms limits rights that cannot lawfully be limited under consumer law.

Where you download, install, subscribe, or use Termex immediately after purchase, you request immediate access to digital content and digital functionality. To the extent permitted by law, statutory cancellation rights for digital content may be affected once delivery has begun. Apple’s purchase flow may provide additional information about cancellation, withdrawal, or refund rights.

No accounts operated by Magrathean

Termex is not designed around a Magrathean-hosted user account. Magrathean does not normally create a hosted Termex account for your servers, sessions, credentials, files, or profiles.

Apple ID, iCloud, App Store, StoreKit, TestFlight, Tailscale, Cloudflare, remote-host, hosting-provider, employer, customer, SSH-server, and network-operator accounts are separate third-party accounts governed by their own terms.

Authorised systems and networks only

You may use Termex only to access systems, accounts, networks, files, services, ports, proxies, jump hosts, tailnets, and infrastructure that you own or are explicitly authorised to access.

Unauthorised access to computer systems, networks, data, or credentials may be a criminal offence, including under the Computer Misuse Act 1990 in the United Kingdom, the Computer Fraud and Abuse Act in the United States, and equivalent laws elsewhere.

You are solely responsible for ensuring that your use of Termex complies with:

• applicable law;
• your employer’s, customer’s, school’s, hosting provider’s, network operator’s, or server owner’s rules;
• acceptable-use policies;
• access-control requirements;
• monitoring, logging, export, sanctions, and security rules;
• third-party terms for Apple, Tailscale, Cloudflare, hosting providers, ISPs, VPNs, DNS providers, and remote systems;
• confidentiality, professional, contractual, regulatory, and operational obligations that apply to you.

Local data and direct connectivity

Termex connects directly from your device to the destinations you configure or choose, including SSH hosts, jump hosts, proxy targets, SFTP servers, forwarded destinations, SOCKS destinations, local network services, Tailscale API endpoints, DNS-over-HTTPS resolvers, and Apple platform services.

Magrathean does not host, monitor, relay, decrypt, back up, recover, or escrow your SSH sessions, SFTP transfers, remote files, credentials, private keys, passphrases, host keys, server profiles, terminal output, diagnostics, or infrastructure data unless you deliberately send material to Magrathean or a separate written agreement expressly says otherwise.

You are responsible for:

• maintaining hosts, accounts, networks, remote permissions, and firewalls;
• checking host-key fingerprints before trusting a host;
• protecting credentials, private keys, passphrases, API tokens, certificates, security keys, Secure Enclave keys, and agent-forwarding boundaries;
• maintaining backups of server data and transferred files;
• verifying transfer completion and integrity;
• reviewing commands, snippets, shell integration, startup scripts, and environment variables before use;
• protecting diagnostics, support bundles, archives, transcript exports, and shared files;
• securing your device, Apple ID, iCloud account, device backups, clipboard, password manager, MDM profile, and local network.

Credentials, keys, certificates, and host trust

Termex may store or process SSH passwords, private keys, passphrases, public keys, certificates, certificate metadata, Secure Enclave references, security-key metadata, known-host entries, host-key fingerprints, trust decisions, passphrase prompts, agent-forwarding configuration, and credential references.

Private credentials must be treated as high-risk security material. You are responsible for importing only keys and certificates that you are authorised to use, selecting appropriate key types, protecting passphrases, revoking compromised keys, rotating credentials, verifying host keys, and complying with your organisation’s key-management rules.

Termex may support “trust on first use”, known-host storage, strict trust prompts, SSHFP checks, and key/certificate management. These features reduce risk but do not guarantee that a host, network, DNS response, user account, key, certificate, or server is safe, uncompromised, lawful, or correctly configured.

Apple-only sync and local-only settings

Termex may offer a local-only mode and an optional Apple/iCloud sync mode.

If you enable Apple-only sync, selected non-secret metadata may sync through Apple/iCloud services linked to your Apple ID. Syncable metadata may include server names, hostnames or IP addresses, ports, usernames, jump-host references, proxy references, port-forward rules, persistent tmux settings, working directories, startup commands, startup snippet commands, environment variable names and values, terminal settings, transport type, agent-forwarding settings, key metadata, certificate metadata, public key and certificate material, fingerprints, comments, principals, validity dates, signer metadata, workspaces, snippets, preferences, and other non-secret app metadata.

Passwords, private keys, passphrases, known-host material, transfer records, session logs, and private terminal transcripts are intended to remain local unless a feature explicitly states otherwise or you export, share, back up, or sync them through a third-party service.

Do not place passwords, API tokens, private keys, passphrases, customer secrets, regulated data, or sensitive internal information in server names, hostnames, comments, snippets, startup commands, environment variables, file paths, labels, or other metadata if you do not want that metadata stored or synced.

Apple services are governed by Apple’s terms and privacy notices.

Tailnet Import and third-party API tokens

Termex may provide Tailnet Import or similar third-party integration features. If you use Tailnet Import, Termex may send your tailnet identifier and API token directly from your device to the Tailscale API to fetch device records. Those records may include device IDs, node IDs, names, hostnames, addresses, users, operating system/client version, authorisation state, connection-blocking status, and related device metadata.

You must use Tailnet Import only with tailnets, accounts, API tokens, device records, infrastructure metadata, and SSH users that you are authorised to access and process. You are responsible for using least-privilege API tokens, keeping tokens confidential, revoking tokens, complying with Tailscale’s terms, and complying with your organisation’s policies.

If Termex offers a “Remember token” control, enabling it may store the API token in device secure storage. If you do not enable it, Termex should not deliberately retain the token after use, but the token may still be processed transiently by the operating system, network stack, Tailscale, or your device state.

Tailscale is a separate provider. Magrathean is not responsible for Tailscale API availability, accuracy, security, rate limits, account rules, outages, or terms.

SSHFP Check and DNS-over-HTTPS

Termex may offer SSHFP Check or other host-key verification assistance. If SSHFP Check is enabled, Termex may query a configured hostname for SSHFP records using DNS-over-HTTPS through Cloudflare by default unless a build, setting, or later version uses another resolver.

Cloudflare or another resolver may receive the queried hostname, your IP address, and request metadata. Magrathean does not receive those queries unless you send diagnostics or support material to us.

SSHFP checking is an additional verification aid. It does not eliminate the need to understand your trust model, check DNSSEC requirements, verify host-key changes, and comply with your security policy.

SFTP transfers and file data

SFTP transfers occur over an SSH connection that you initiate. Transfers depend on network conditions, remote server behaviour, remote filesystem permissions, local device state, background execution limits, available storage, and server-side SFTP support.

Termex may process filenames, paths, sizes, timestamps, transfer progress, hash-verification results, resumable progress, local transfer records, and remote directory listings.

Where supported, Termex may check transfer integrity using SHA-256 or a remote verifier such as sha256sum or shasum. If the remote server cannot verify, Termex may report completion without remote-side hash verification.

You are responsible for:

• confirming that uploads and downloads are authorised;
• maintaining backups;
• encrypting sensitive files where appropriate;
• confirming destination paths and permissions;
• checking that transfers completed correctly;
• avoiding destructive overwrites;
• respecting data-export, confidentiality, and regulated-data obligations.

Port forwarding, SOCKS, jump hosts, and agent forwarding

Termex may support local forwarding, remote forwarding, dynamic forwarding, SOCKS-style proxying, jump-host routing, proxy chains, and agent forwarding.

Do not use these features to bypass access controls, content restrictions, segmentation, monitoring, firewall rules, payment controls, authentication, policy enforcement, or network-provider limits unless you are authorised to do so.

Agent forwarding and jump-host workflows can expose additional trust-boundary risk. You are responsible for understanding where agent requests can originate, which hosts you trust, and which credentials are available to forwarded sessions.

tmux, shell integration, snippets, startup commands, and environment variables

Termex may support persistent tmux-backed sessions, tmux attach/reconnect flows, shell integration, OSC 7 current-directory reporting, snippets, startup commands, startup snippet commands, command palettes, and startup environment variables.

Commands, snippets, shell integration, environment variables, and startup automation may change remote files, run processes, expose secrets, modify configuration, affect logs, trigger transfers, or cause downtime. You must review and understand them before use.

Termex is not responsible for server damage, data loss, downtime, configuration drift, credential exposure, lockouts, unexpected commands, or security impact caused by commands, scripts, snippets, startup configuration, shell integration, tmux, or your use of remote systems.

Local terminal, Mosh, Eternal Terminal, Shortcuts, widgets, and Live Activities

Termex may include or prepare support for local terminal mode, Mosh, Eternal Terminal, Shortcuts, widgets, Live Activities, remote files, remote editing, key deployment, Secure Enclave keys, FIDO/security-key SSH, and other advanced capabilities.

Where those features are present or enabled:

• local terminal features run locally within the app’s implementation and are not a general-purpose guarantee of shell compatibility;
• Mosh may bootstrap over SSH by running mosh-server on your remote host and then communicate directly with that host over UDP using session parameters returned by the server;
• Eternal Terminal may require a bundled or compatible client core and server-side support;
• Shortcuts may open servers or run saved snippets at your direction;
• widgets and Live Activities may display limited session or transfer status through Apple platform surfaces;
• key deployment may modify authorised keys or related files on remote hosts.

You are responsible for ensuring these features are lawful, authorised, safe, and compatible with your environment. Availability may depend on build configuration, operating-system version, device capability, server-side tools, Apple rules, and third-party licensing.

Diagnostics, support bundles, transcripts, and exports

Termex may generate diagnostics, connection reports, structured errors, session events, local logs, support bundles, archives, transfer records, and transcript exports locally on your device.

These materials may include sensitive operational details such as server names, hostnames, usernames, paths, commands, snippets, remote output, error messages, environment names and values, transfer metadata, and configuration details. Termex may attempt to redact common secrets in diagnostics bundles, but redaction is not guaranteed.

Before sharing diagnostics, logs, transcripts, archives, screenshots, screen recordings, or support bundles, you must review and redact them. Do not send secrets, private keys, passwords, passphrases, API tokens, customer data, regulated data, server files, proprietary code, or unnecessary personal data unless Magrathean has agreed a secure route and you are authorised to disclose it.

Magrathean is not responsible for data you voluntarily send to third parties through a share sheet, email, chat, issue tracker, support tool, cloud drive, or other export route.

Demo, review, beta, test, and experimental features

Demo Mode, review builds, TestFlight builds, beta features, hidden review flows, compatibility previews, experimental features, and local grace access are provided for evaluation and testing. They do not prove compatibility with your real servers, networks, SSH implementations, tmux setup, SFTP subsystem, shell configuration, Tailscale account, Mosh setup, DNS environment, or security controls.

Beta and experimental features may be incomplete, unstable, unavailable, changed, removed, or subject to additional restrictions.

Acceptable use

You must not use Termex to:

• access systems, accounts, networks, files, proxies, ports, services, databases, tailnets, or forwarded destinations without authorisation;
• bypass security controls, segmentation, monitoring, content restrictions, payment controls, subscription controls, provider limits, network policies, or law-enforcement controls;
• attack, scan, overload, exploit, exfiltrate from, disrupt, or harm third-party systems;
• introduce malware, credential stealers, destructive scripts, persistence mechanisms, unauthorised scanners, or malicious automation;
• misuse port forwarding, SOCKS proxying, jump hosts, agent forwarding, Tailnet Import, SSHFP checks, SFTP, shell integration, or Shortcuts;
• infringe intellectual-property, confidentiality, privacy, data-protection, export-control, sanctions, or contractual rights;
• reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, modify, or derive source code except where mandatory law permits;
• remove proprietary notices;
• share, sell, rent, sublicense, or commercially exploit Termex without permission;
• use Termex in a way that harms Magrathean, Apple, a server owner, a network operator, an employer, a customer, a provider, or a third party.

Security reports

Report security issues privately to:

Use a clear subject line and include enough technical detail for us to reproduce or assess the issue. Do not include secrets, private keys, tenant evidence, customer data, server data, regulated data, or unnecessary personal data unless we have agreed a secure route.

You must not perform testing that degrades service, accesses data without authorisation, persists on systems, bypasses user consent, social-engineers staff, or violates law. We do not authorise testing against third-party systems, Apple services, Tailscale, Cloudflare, hosting providers, customer infrastructure, or other systems we do not own.

Third-party services, trade marks, and open source

Termex may include, rely on, or interoperate with third-party libraries, open-source components, platform APIs, operating systems, stores, payment providers, DNS services, network services, SSH implementations, SFTP servers, Mosh tools, Tailscale APIs, Cloudflare DNS-over-HTTPS, Apple services, Swift packages, and other tools.

Third-party services and components are governed by their own terms, licences, privacy notices, permissions, limits, security practices, and availability. Magrathean is not responsible for third-party outages, vulnerabilities, licence changes, API changes, rate limits, data practices, or policy decisions.

Linux is a registered trade mark of Linus Torvalds. SSH and OpenSSH are projects of the OpenBSD project and others. tmux is a project by Nicholas Marriott and contributors. Apple, App Store, iOS, iPadOS, iCloud, StoreKit, Swift, Shortcuts, Live Activities, and related marks are trade marks of Apple Inc. Tailscale is a trade mark or brand of its owner. Cloudflare is a trade mark or brand of its owner. YubiKey is a trade mark of Yubico. Other names are used for descriptive interoperability only.

Updates, compatibility, suspension, and discontinuation

We may add, change, suspend, or remove features, integrations, subscriptions, entitlements, support routes, documentation, compatibility, platform support, security behaviour, or third-party interoperability.

We may discontinue Termex or any feature where necessary or appropriate for security, legal, operational, vendor-platform, licensing, App Store, product, or commercial reasons.

For consumers, we will not deliberately remove paid functionality during a current subscription period in a way that materially reduces what you paid for without a lawful basis and appropriate notice or remedy where required.

High-risk use

Termex is not designed for emergency systems, life-safety systems, medical devices, aviation, nuclear, weapons, critical infrastructure, industrial-control systems, high-risk financial trading, or any environment where failure, delay, misconfiguration, data loss, or unauthorised access could lead to death, personal injury, catastrophic loss, or severe public harm.

You must not rely on Termex as the sole means of access, backup, monitoring, incident response, disaster recovery, key management, compliance, or security assurance.

No professional advice

Termex may display diagnostics, warnings, trust prompts, connection reports, errors, status messages, transfer checks, and operational suggestions. These are product outputs only. They are not legal, security, compliance, audit, engineering, financial, tax, or professional advice.

You remain responsible for human review, independent judgement, and professional advice where required.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal data is processed in connection with Termex and related support, website, App Store, and communication activities. The Privacy Policy is part of the overall framework for your use of Termex but is not intended to reduce any mandatory rights you have under data-protection law.

Support

We may provide support through email, website, App Store channels, release notes, documentation, or other routes we choose. Unless a separate written agreement says otherwise, support is provided at our discretion and we do not guarantee response times, fixes, feature delivery, compatibility changes, or recovery of data.

Do not send secrets or sensitive data to support unless we have agreed a secure route and you are authorised to disclose it.

Disclaimer

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Termex is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, satisfactory quality, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, completeness, availability, security, compatibility, uninterrupted operation, error-free operation, data integrity, recoverability, or fitness for any legal, compliance, security, operational, server, billing, customer, or business purpose.

We do not warrant that Termex will:

• connect to every server;
• support every SSH, SFTP, Mosh, tmux, shell, terminal, or network configuration;
• detect every security risk;
• prevent credential misuse;
• verify every transfer;
• preserve every session;
• avoid data loss;
• work during background execution;
• continue to support a feature, device, operating-system version, or third-party service;
• be accepted by every employer, customer, regulator, or security policy.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits warranties, guarantees, or rights that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

Limitation of liability

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, wilful misconduct where it cannot be limited, or any liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

If you are a consumer, nothing in these Terms affects mandatory consumer rights. Subject to mandatory law, Magrathean is not liable for losses that were not foreseeable, were not caused by our breach, or arose from your unauthorised or unlawful use, remote systems you control or choose, third-party services, network conditions, server configuration, commands you run, snippets you use, credentials you manage, or data you choose to share.

If you use Termex for business or professional purposes, then to the maximum extent permitted by law Magrathean is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, revenue, anticipated savings, data, goodwill, business opportunity, customer relationship, service availability, business interruption, corrupted files, lost credentials, lost sessions, failed transfers, security incidents, regulatory penalties, or costs of substitute services.

Unless mandatory law or a separate written agreement says otherwise, Magrathean’s total aggregate liability for all claims relating to Termex or these Terms is limited to the greater of:

• the amount you paid to Magrathean or Apple for Termex in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim; or
• GBP 10 for consumer App Store use.

For business or professional use without a separate written agreement, Magrathean’s total aggregate liability is limited to GBP 100.

Indemnity

If you use Termex as a business, professional, contractor, administrator, developer, security tester, employee, or on behalf of an organisation, you agree to indemnify and hold harmless Magrathean, its directors, officers, employees, contractors, licensors, and suppliers from claims, losses, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses arising from:

• your unauthorised access or use;
• your breach of these Terms;
• your violation of law or third-party terms;
• your misuse or mishandling of credentials, keys, tokens, customer data, server data, diagnostics, archives, or exports;
• commands, snippets, scripts, transfers, port forwards, proxies, jump-host routes, or automations you initiate;
• your use of Termex with systems, networks, data, or accounts you are not authorised to use;
• claims from your employer, customer, server owner, network operator, provider, or third party.

If you are a consumer, you are responsible only for losses that are a foreseeable result of your breach, unlawful misuse, or unauthorised use.

Termination

You may stop using Termex at any time. Uninstalling Termex may not cancel an App Store subscription; cancellation is managed through Apple.

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate your licence or access to Termex where reasonably necessary if we believe that you breached these Terms, exceeded authorised scope, created legal or security risk, interfered with product integrity, bypassed subscription controls, infringed intellectual property, or used Termex in a way that could harm Magrathean, Apple, a provider, a customer, a server owner, a network operator, or a third party.

On termination, your licence ends and you must stop using Termex. Provisions on ownership, acceptable use, privacy, disclaimers, liability, indemnity, export controls, governing law, and dispute handling continue where relevant.

Export controls and sanctions

You must comply with applicable UK, US, EU, UN, and other export-control and sanctions laws. You must not use, export, re-export, transfer, provide, or make available Termex in violation of those laws or for prohibited end users, destinations, or purposes.

You are responsible for ensuring that your use of SSH, encryption, remote access, file transfer, Mosh, SFTP, Tailscale, proxies, and related capabilities complies with applicable export, sanctions, and local-law restrictions.

Assignment

You may not assign, transfer, delegate, or sublicense your rights or obligations under these Terms without our prior written consent.

Magrathean may assign or transfer these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganisation, sale of assets, change of control, financing, corporate restructuring, or transfer of the Termex product, provided that mandatory consumer rights are preserved.

Severability and waiver

If any provision of these Terms is found unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in effect. The unlawful, invalid, or unenforceable provision will be interpreted or replaced to achieve the closest lawful effect.

If we do not enforce a provision immediately, that does not waive our right to enforce it later.

Legal hierarchy, mandatory rights and safer-use controls

These Terms govern ordinary use of Termex and related websites, apps, public tools, documentation and support routes. They do not replace any signed master services agreement, statement of work, order form, data-processing agreement, enterprise licence, security addendum, app-store rule, open-source licence or platform term that expressly applies to a specific transaction or deployment. If there is a conflict, the more specific written agreement or mandatory platform rule controls the relevant issue.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, statutory consumer rights, data-protection rights, app-store rights that cannot be waived, or any other mandatory legal protection. Any indemnity, liability cap, warranty exclusion, termination right or use restriction is intended to apply only to the maximum extent permitted by law. Business-use indemnities do not apply to consumers except where mandatory law permits and the claim arises from intentional, unlawful or clearly unauthorised misuse.

You must not submit passwords, bearer tokens, private keys, recovery codes, .env files, raw tenant exports, production personal-data dumps, unredacted footage, confidential third-party data, special-category data, criminal-offence data, children’s data, or customer secrets through ordinary contact or support routes unless we have agreed a secure written handling process. We may reject, delete, quarantine, return or restrict unsafe material without reviewing all of it.

Security reports and vulnerability details should be sent privately and with enough information for us to reproduce and triage the issue. Do not access, copy, alter, delete, exfiltrate, disclose or publish data that is not yours. Do not run denial-of-service tests, social engineering, persistence, destructive payloads or public proof-of-concept disclosure without written permission.

Any score, audit output, AI output, quota estimate, vehicle/battery analysis, server health view, terminal output, footage report, export, diagnostic finding, security recommendation or compatibility statement is informational unless a separate written engagement expressly says otherwise. You remain responsible for human review, authorisation, backups, change control, legal compliance, third-party notices and operational decisions.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms by publishing a revised version or by notifying users through the app, website, App Store listing, release notes, customer channel, or another appropriate route.

Changes apply prospectively. For material changes that adversely affect consumers, we will provide reasonable notice where required. If you do not agree, you may stop using Termex and cancel renewal through Apple. Changes do not affect rights accrued before the change or mandatory consumer rights.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These Terms and any dispute or claim arising from them are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

The courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, except where mandatory consumer or local law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere or prevents exclusive jurisdiction.
